Personality:

Millie is a live-wire! Very different from her Mother, she is much more adventurous and was the first in her litter to jump out of the whelping box, which is why I chose her! She is very competitive, has to be first in and out of the door, fastest in the field, quickest retriever, the highest jumper, with the loudest bark. She is athletic, elegant, almost regal. She loves training and any mental stimulation, as long as she can win if it's a game! She has a slightly stubborn streak and likes to go "self-employed" at times, but when settled in the evening she loves to put her head on your lap and just chill out. Millie has had two very large litters.  In the first litter she had 14 pups (10 boys and 4 girls), and in the second litter she had 12 (7 boys and 5 girls). Millie seems to have grown up and settled down since having her family.

Working Ability

Millie loves to work, and has been out on many a shoot. However, I think her need for speed is a slight handicap. She does have a good nose but her biggest setback is she is too impatient. She will retrieve live game and loves to catch the runners.

Conformation

Millie is on the larger side of the breed standard. She has a lovely long well-toned body, beautiful classic head and expression, glossy coat and she moves with great reach and drive. She has an excellent bone structure, with generous brisket.
